Step 2. Source Materials
We go to great lengths to source the most premium and sustainable materials for our mattresses. Our organic latex comes from ethical rubber tree plantations, and our coils are made from recycled steel.
Our production team performs extensive checks to ensure every material meets our stringent quality standards. This attention to detail means our mattresses retain their structure and performance for many years.
Step 3. Cutting
Our skilled fabric cutters transform the mattress designs into precisely cut materials ready for assembly. Using state-of-the-art laser cutters, each component is cut to an accuracy of just 0.1mm. This precision ensures a perfect finish with no weak seams or tears.
Step 4. Assembly
Next comes the meticulous mattress assembly. Our expert craftspeople have decades of experience in techniques like tufting, tape edging and embroidery. They lovingly construct each mattress by hand, using time-honoured skills blended with modern technologies.
Even our computerised machines are carefully overseen by eagle-eyed technicians. The finished mattresses are robust yet sublimely comfortable.
Step 5. Inspection
Before leaving our factory, every Igel Mattress undergoes a comprehensive quality inspection. Nothing leaves our facility without meeting our rigorous standards. Our QA team checks everything from stitching and padding to the performance of internal mattress layers.
